Pedro is the founder and CEO of Inclusivista. As a second-generation Mexican-American raised in a small Texas town, Pedro was taught to blend in and assimilate as much as possible (he even changed his name and went by “Pete” for many years). But times (and names) change. Over the past 20 years, Pedro has witnessed a cultural shift, in which the days of hiding one’s ethnicity can be overcome by newfound pride for our unique heritage.

Believing we have a social responsibility to increase cultural harmony, Inclusivista is a very personal mission for Pedro.

Pedro founded the multicultural advertising agency LERMA/, where he has led a team of seasoned marketing experts focused on delivering innovative connections between brands and their diverse consumers for more than a decade. In a relatively short time, his team has successfully managed brand-building and award-winning work for clients such as Metro by T-Mobile, The Home Depot, The Salvation Army, Ram Trucks, Advance Auto Parts, Clamato, Dr Pepper, Ocean Spray, and Avocados From Mexico.

Shannon Dunbar-Rubio

Shannon leads the Inclusivista team. Since her youth, Shannon has admired and been passionate about different cultures, perspectives, and the many unique qualities of the human race. She has spent the majority of her 20+ years of professional experience helping clients understand underserved populations and has always been a champion of not just equal rights, but helping others come together and more fully respect one another. 

 

Having worked for clients across a wide range of categories, including UCHealth, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Southwest Airlines, Ocean Spray, Metro by T-Mobile, and Motel 6, she brings her in-depth marketing and business consulting experience to help partners develop strategies for enhancing their cultures to be more representative of the world today. In addition, she helps clients maximize their existing business efforts to identify new revenue streams and opportunities for innovative solutions that capitalize on today’s ever-evolving marketplace.
